As the oldest (and most beautiful) football club in Belgium, the ‘Great Old’ unfortunately performed below expectations for years. Antwerp had to stay in the second division for thirteen years, which led to some financial difficulties. However, this did not alter the fact that Antwerp always had a passionate fan base, through both good times and bad.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_width_percent=”90″ gutter_size=”3″ overlay_alpha=”50″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1/2″][vc_single_image media=”334″ media_width_percent=”100″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner column_width_percent=”100″ gutter_size=”3″ overlay_alpha=”50″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1/2″][vc_single_image media=”339″ media_width_percent=”100″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_width_percent=”90″ gutter_size=”3″ overlay_alpha=”50″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Approach

Thomas has been working for the Great Old since 2007, and after 2011 he took a leading role in the field of communication and press contacts. Following the creation of The Owl in 2013, this position became official. The Owl took care of most of the online communication on the official website, mailings, commercial campaigns, social media and more. The Owl built up a communication team that mainly consisted of volunteers, but who acted on a professional level in their fields of expertise.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space empty_h=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column column_width_percent=”60″ align_horizontal=”align_center” overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1/1″][vc_single_image media=”38″ media_width_use_pixel=”yes” alignment=”center” media_width_pixel=”50″][vc_custom_heading]

Result

[/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]

Patience and hard work pays off, because in season 2016-2017 the coveted promotion to the first division was finally achieved. A crowning achievement! After 11 years of hard work for RAFC, 2017 was the year that saw The Owl consolidate its solid foundations within the club, something on which we are continuing to build. And, of course, The Owl remains an unconditional supporter of the Great Old!
